Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Sripathi Vangapandla ("we", "us") for using the Sprichst app and website. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy, the Disclaimer and the AI Transparency notice. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.
1. The service
Sprichst helps you learn German with lessons, exercises, flashcards, games, mock exam practice, and an optional AI tutor with voice. We may improve, change or retire features. If we make a change that significantly worsens something you rely on, we will tell you in advance and, where the law requires it, give you a way out.
2. Who can use it
You must be 16 or older, or old enough under your country's law to agree to online services on your own. Younger learners may use Sprichst only with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for them. In India the minimum age without a guardian is 18. By using Sprichst you confirm that you meet these conditions.
3. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for what happens under it. Tell us at sripathiyadav66@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed it. You may stop using Sprichst at any time and can delete your account in Account → Danger zone → Delete account.
4. Price
Sprichst is free. The on-device AI model costs nothing. If you choose to connect your own key for an AI provider, any fees or paid plans with that provider are between you and them; we never charge for it and never see your payments. If we introduce paid features we will show the full price, the billing period, how to cancel, and your right of withdrawal before you pay, and these terms will be updated first.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or others' rights with the app;
- attack, overload, probe, scrape or reverse-engineer our services beyond what the law allows, or get around rate limits or sign-in checks;
- send content that is illegal, or that harasses or exploits others, or that tries to make the AI produce harmful content;
- upload malware or send automated requests that are not part of normal use of the app;
- use the app's AI output to train another AI model without our written permission;
- copy, rebrand or resell the app or its lessons.
We may limit or suspend access when someone breaks these rules or puts the service or other users at risk. Where the law requires, we will explain why and let you respond.
6. Our content and your content
The lessons, exercises, design, text, icons and code of Sprichst belong to Sripathi Vangapandla or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Open-source components keep their own licences, listed in the Third-Party Notices. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app and its content for your own learning.
What you write or say to the app (your answers, messages and recordings) stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to process it to give you the service as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use it to train AI models.
If you believe something in the app infringes your copyright, follow the process in Copyright and Takedown.
7. AI features
The AI tutor generates answers with a language model. It can be wrong, outdated, or unsuitable. Use it as a study aid, not as an authority, and read the AI Transparency notice. You are responsible for how you use its output.
If you add your own API key from an AI provider (for example Groq, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, xAI Grok, Mistral, DeepSeek or OpenRouter, or another OpenAI-compatible service), the key and the account are yours: use them under the provider's terms, keep the key secret, and do not use a key that is not yours. Sprichst never receives your key or what you send to the provider, and has no control over its limits, prices or availability. Any usage or charges on that account are between you and the provider. If you remove the key or choose "This phone only", nothing is sent to it.
8. Exam practice and brand names
"Goethe-Zertifikat" is a mark of the Goethe-Institut e. V. and "TestDaF" is a mark of the TestDaF-Institut. Sprichst is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them, or by telc, ÖSD or any other exam provider. Mock exams are our own practice material and do not predict your real result.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The offline features work without internet once models are downloaded. We may update these terms when the service, the law or our practices change. We will tell you before a change that matters takes effect, and if you keep using the app afterwards you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can stop and delete your account.
10. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraud, defective products under mandatory product liability law, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Subject to that, and to the extent allowed: we are liable for slight negligence only where we break an essential duty that the contract exists to deliver, and then only for typical, foreseeable damage. We are not responsible for losses caused by AI answers you chose to rely on, for exam results, for the unavailability of your device or network, or for the actions of third-party services outside our control. The app is otherwise provided "as is" where the law allows.
Your statutory warranty rights under consumer law (for example the EU Digital Content Directive) are not affected.
11. Ending the agreement
You can end it by deleting your account. We may end or suspend your access for a serious breach, with notice where the law requires it, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice. After the account is deleted we remove your learning data as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
If you are a consumer, the law of your country of residence applies to the extent it gives you mandatory protection; otherwise the law of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. You may bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence. Our courts are in Halle (Saale), Germany for businesses and where the law allows.
Online dispute resolution. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in consumer dispute settlement proceedings before a consumer arbitration board unless the law requires it. The EU's former online dispute resolution platform has been discontinued.
13. Contact and notices
Sripathi Vangapandla, Rudolf-Ernst-Weise-Str. 34, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany, sripathiyadav66@gmail.com. We reach you by the email on your Google account or inside the app. See the Impressum for our provider details and the Digital Services Act contact point.
14. Final provisions
If part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right is not giving it up. We may transfer our rights and duties to a successor of the service if your rights are not reduced. These terms and any translation are in English; if you read a translated version and they differ, the version that gives you more protection under mandatory law prevails.
